Course Overview

This one-day intensive course is designed for qualified hair professionals who want to improve their precision and confidence in short hair cutting.

Led by Agnes Burke, the training is practical and demonstration-led, focusing on techniques that can be applied immediately in the salon. You’ll cover key areas including short graduation, layering, weight control, texturising, and adapting styles to suit individual clients.

The course combines live demonstrations, guided practice, and supervised work on a live model, with real-time feedback throughout. Delivered in a small group setting, it allows for strong hands-on support and individual attention.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Execute structured short haircuts with improved precision
  • Apply graduation and layering techniques with confidence
  • Analyse head shape and weight distribution
  • Adapt short styles to suit different clients
  • Deliver commercially relevant, salon-ready results

Additional Information:

All products and materials are provided on the day. Training is delivered over 6.5 hours with continuous practical assessment and feedback. There is no written exam.

Learners will receive an AB Academy Certificate of Completion following the course. Small group delivery (maximum of 10 participants) ensures a high level of tutor interaction and support.
