This course is a practical, hands-on training day in gents hair loss fitting.
On the day, you will learn all about:
- purchasing
- fitting
- application techniques
- styling
- pricing
- HSE funding for wigs
- how to run a scalp clinic in your barber shop

- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Introduction
- 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM:Understanding the Reasons for Hair Loss
- 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Services and funding Available for Your Customers
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Live Demonstration fitting on a Client
- 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch
- 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Practical Fittings with Models
- 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM:Recap and Q&A
About the Trainer
Aileen Maher is a professional hairdresser who ran her own salon for 25 years. Having completed her Teacher/Assessor & IQA Award, she is now a Teacher/Educator for Xpert Professional IRE. Aileen designed this course in order to teach other hairdressers and barbers everything there is to know about hair, scalp and wig therapy. Her aim is for all her trainees to be able to run successful scalp clinics, in which they will look after all types of hair loss and scalp issues in both men and woman. She is an expert in fitting wigs and hair pieces, and she teaches a gentle approach in caring for your clients, easing them through this tough experience.
