Hairdressing / Barbering Subject Matter Expert, for the role of Sales & Member Engagement Executive with Image Skillnet.

The Role:

We are currently seeking to recruit a Sales & Member Engagement Executive with hairdressing and barbering expertise. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, multi-disciplined, highly-organised, and confident in their ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a high performing team.

Main Duties to Include (but not be limited to):
  • Ensuring the delivery of assigned KPI’s and targets. This will be done through the development and engagement of a large membership base, and through the development of relationships with various stakeholders. Image Skillnet provides a supportive and aligned service that is bespoke to our members’ requirements. Member engagement and positive relationship development is critical to the role.
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing sales processes.
  • Engaging existing members, generating new members and closing sales.
  • Providing high-end customer service, interactions, and tangible value to our members in a timely manner.
  • Participation on various on-going projects and research as required by the company.
Skills and Specifications: 
  • A positive, supportive, and flexible attitude

  • An excellent ability to build and develop professional relationships with stakeholders.

  • Confident, with excellent self-awareness.

  • A proven track record in a sales position, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering on KPIs, targets and strict deadlines.

  • Subject matter expertise in hairdressing and barbering.

  • A very high level of hairdressing and barbering industry knowledge and experience.

  • Excellent project and time management skills.

  • A team player with the ability to work off your own initiative.

  • Confident in cold calling, and engaging both members and non-members.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, and an excellent multi-tasking ability.

  • An excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to implement sales funnels and pipelines.

  • Ability to identify, generate, quantify, and qualify leads.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to create regular reports that track key performance indicators and metrics on leads and sales generation.

  • Flexible in your approach and supporting of other divisions as and when required.

Desirable but not essential:
  • Strong hairdressing and barbering network, and industry connections.

  • Prior experience in a learning and development setting within the hair or beauty industry.

  • 3rd Level qualification in education, business development, sales and marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a membership-based organisation.

The role is a fixed term contract until the 31st of December 2023 (but may be extended beyond this date subject to budgets). Contracted hours are based on a 39-hour week and the role will be based full-time in our office in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.
