Requirements:

This course is suitable for all levels. We ask that stylists arrive ready to learn and develop their cutting skills.

Learners are required to bring their full hairdressing kit including:

• Scissors
• Hairdryer
• Brushes
• Straightening irons
• Curling tongs

Course Overview:

This course focuses on the core principles of short hair cutting, helping stylists build confidence, consistency and creativity in their work.

Learners will explore key techniques including sectioning, elevation, distribution and texturising, while learning how classic cutting methods can be adapted to create modern short hairstyles. The course also focuses on personalising cuts to suit different clients, hair types and lifestyles.

Course Content :

9:00am – Networking Coffee

9:30am – 10:00am – Let’s Talk Cutting
Detailed discussion on the techniques and concepts covered throughout the day.

10:00am – 12:30pm – Demonstration Session
Informal live demonstrations focusing on short hair cutting techniques and modern styling approaches.

12:30pm – 1:30pm – Lunch

1:30pm – 5:00pm – Practical Workshop
Dummy head workshop allowing learners to practise and apply the techniques demonstrated during the morning session.
