Imagine your salon shelves filled with your own creations: balms, creams, serums, cleansers, exfoliants, toners, mists, lotions, scrubs, body butters, ointments, soaps, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, hair oils, hair serums, dry shampoos, hair waxes, and fragrance-infused products.

About the Programme:

This first-of-its-kind programme, delivered by Image Skillnet, is designed to provide both expert knowledge and hands-on experience. You will learn how to formulate, brand, and launch your own boutique cosmetic range, supported by industry-recognised certification.

Course Content

Day 1 – EU Cosmetic Regulation Compliance (Online)

Understand the legal requirements to safely and compliantly sell cosmetic products in the EU.

Day 2 – Good Manufacturing Practice – How to set your own lab

Gain an in-depth understanding of safe and professional product manufacturing processes. Essential considerations for establishing your own laboratory space.

Day 3- Cosmetic Science and Formulation foundations

Cosmetic formulation basics and key categories

Day 4 – Anhydrous Formulations (Hands-On)

Create oil-based products without water.

Day 5 – Aqueous Formulations (Hands-On)

Develop water-based skincare products.

Day 6 – Emulsion Formulations (Hands-On)

Formulate creams and lotions using emulsification techniques.

Day 7 – Haircare Formulations (Hands-On)

Explore solid and liquid cosmetics for hair.

Day 8 – Traditional Soapmaking.

Cold process method

Fragrance Design & Essential Oil Blending (Hands-On)

Design signature scents and learn professional blending techniques.

Day 9 – Assessment & Certification (In-Class + Online)

Demonstrate your knowledge and practical skills.

Assessment includes:

• Development and production of 3 products (one from each main category)
• Completion of a 30-question multiple-choice exam (online)
