September  17th & 18th
October 8th, 9th, 22nd & 23rd
November 5th, 6th, 19th & 20th
Plus 5 days’ work experience in a salon.

We require a refundable deposit of €300. This is on the basis that you meet the eligibility criteria. (All learners must fully commit and engage with the programme). This deposit is a standard procedure and serves as a commitment from your side to participate in the course. Rest assured that the deposit will be fully refunded upon completion of the course. We will promptly refund the full deposit amount back to the original payment method you used during registration. Requirements
Previous experience is desirable but not essential.   12 places are available on this programme.

Materials Required to Take Part
Learners will need to bring their own;

  • Scissors
  • Brushes & combs
  • Hairdryer
  • Heated rollers
  • Curling irons

Course Overview
This course will offer the learner classic cutting and colouring techniques, blow-dries and simple pin-ups to equip them as more confident stylists in order for them to re-enter the workforce.

Course Content
Day 1 Morning: Induction for the 12 days. An overview of the history of hair fashion and consultation. Also angles, sectioning and distribution.
Day 1 Afternoon: Classic to contemporary styling demonstration. The learner will cover what products to use, sectioning and multiple techniques.

Day 2 Morning: Setting, heated rollers, and bridal demonstration.
Day 2 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover what products to use, sectioning and multiple techniques.

Day 3 Morning: Induction and colour theory, health & safety.
Day 3 Afternoon: Colour presentations, global colour, half head of highlights. The learner will cover what products to use, sectioning and multiple techniques during this class.

Day 4 Morning: Demonstration on colour Balayage.
Day 4 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover the colour techniques and modern blow-drying techniques.

Day 5 Morning: Cutting demonstrations on long hair. Square layering and a simple overview on the inverted layer. Modern styling on long hair
included.
Day 5 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover the fundamentals of cutting and blow-drying techniques during this class.

Day 6 Morning: Colour correction and bespoke colouring demonstration with toning and shading.
Day 6 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover the modern way to colour and finish by using their blow-drying technique which they are learning.

Day 7 Morning: Vertical layering demonstration.
Day 7 Afternoon: Workshop on the vertical layering technique. The learner will cover the fundamentals of angles and graduation commonly used in the salon. They will learn to finish at a high standard.

Day 8 Morning: Reverse horseshoe & dimensional colour demonstration.
Day 8 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover more fundamental techniques in colour, building their confidence as an all-round stylist.

Day 9 Morning: Bleach-up presentation 2 ways, and mens cutting demonstrations.
Day 9 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover the colour, cutting and blow-drying techniques.

Day 10 Morning: Bob and graduated bob presentation.
Day 10 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will cover the fundamentals of angles and graduation commonly used in the salon. They will learn to finish at a high standard.

Day 11 Morning: Modern pin-up presentations.
Day 11 Afternoon: Workshop recreating the morning looks. The learner will learn how to style and pin up hair in a salon friendly way. They will learn to finish at a high standard.

Day 12 Morning: Recapping all the looks created in the demonstrations and theory topics covered.
Day 12 Afternoon: Summary of the course and Q&A.

Learners will also need to complete 5 days’ work experience in a salon.

Learning Outcomes
The learner will gain huge confidence throughout the 12 days, improving their technical ability through easy to learn techniques. They will be supported by a 365-page Elements book and 41 online videos, making learning easier. The book/programme includes everything that you require to become a successful modern behind-the-chair stylist. Above all, learners will be inspired to to get into the workforce.
