Requirements
This course is suitable for anyone who has completed the OTI Oncology Aesthetics Training in Hair, or anyone who has studied Hair, Wig and Scalp Therapy Training online with Aileen Maher. It is also suitable for senior stylists /salon owners and tutors in the hair and beauty industry. You must have experience in cutting.
Course Content
This course is a practical, hands-on training day in bespoke wig making.
On the day, you will get to wash, colour, cut, and style different wig bases, along with learning all about:
- measuring
- purchasing
- fitting
- application techniques
- cutting and styling
- pricing
- HSE funding for wigs
Qualifications Granted
Upon completing the training, students will be very confident in offering a wig service to any of their clients needing a wig.
Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.
About the Trainer
Aileen Maher is a professional hairdresser who ran her own salon for 25 years. Having completed her Teacher/Assessor & IQA Award, she is now a Teacher/Educator for Xpert Professional IRE. Aileen designed this course in order to teach other hairdressers and barbers everything there is to know about hair, scalp and wig therapy. Her aim is for all her trainees to be able to run successful scalp clinics, in which they will look after all types of hair loss and scalp issues in both men and woman. She is an expert in fitting wigs and hair pieces, and she teaches a gentle approach in caring for your clients, easing them through this tough experience.
