Leitrim LEO in partnership with The Regional Skills Forum North West (Department of Education and Skills initiative to encourage collaboration between industry and education & training providers) are hosting an information evening for Leitrim employers wishing to learn more about the various financial support and services available to employers from local education & training providers and employer support organisations.
Venue: This event is being held in the MSL ETB centre,
Location: St. George’s Terrace, Carrick-on –Shannon, Co Leitrim.
Date: Wednesday 21st of March 2018,
Time: 5:30pm.
This “one-stop-shop” event will hear presentations from Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB, IT Sligo and St. Angela’s College, Sligo describing the numerous services available to employers and employees in relation to part time & flexible training and education programmes for employers, recruitment of graduates, placements, funding for employee / employer training, apprenticeships, traineeships, research & innovation, support for new start-ups and much more. LEO Leitrim will provide an overview of the wide range of services they have available to employers. Presentations will also be delivered by Skillnets (Including Image Skillnet) who provide significant funding for flexible education and training programmes for employers in a wide range of areas including management, retail, IT, health and safety, hair and beauty, agriculture, digital marketing and technology. Employers will also get the opportunity to hear from Intreo who help employers with recruitment and possibly provide a range of financial supports to assist with the costs of employment creation. Representatives from numerous other agencies including Enterprise Ireland, Ibec, Western Development Commission, and IDA will be present.
After the presentations, employers can speak to the agencies present on a one to one basis. This event will provide a unique opportunity to hear from a wide range of different organisations providing support to Leitrim employers and employees in relation to training, education, recruitment, research, funding and new business start-up.
