The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) is responsible for the regulation of cosmetic products in Ireland. Their aim is to ensure all cosmetics on the Irish market are safe and comply with the new EU regulations. They identify and address cosmetic product safety issues, in conjunction with the HSE, so that a cosmetic product will not compromise the health and safety of the person applying the product.
HPRA are hosting two information evenings in Galway and Dublin to explain the regulations applicable to cosmetics to manufacturers, distributors and responsible persons of cosmetic products.
‘Responsible Persons’ are those whose responsiblity it is to ensure the product complies with European legislation. Anyone who imports a product from outside the EEA to place on the market, takes on the role of ‘Responsible Person’.
The events will take place on;
Tuesday 10th September 2019 in The Galmont Hotel, Galway. Register here.
Monday 16th September 2019 in The Hilton Hotel, Charlemont Place, Dublin. Register here.
The evening will consist of presentations outlining the regulatory framework and current topics of interest. You will also have the opportunity to meet with HPRA representatives one-to-one to ask any questions you may have.
