Who is this Training for?
No prior experience required. This course is suitable for beginners eager to start a career in semi-permanent makeup. All students will receive a full kit; no additional tools are needed.
Course Overview
The Beginner Powderbrow Course is designed for students with no prior experience in semi-permanent makeup. This comprehensive training combines in-depth theory with practical hands-on learning, ensuring students gain the confidence and skills to succeed as powderbrow artists.
The course covers:
Hygiene and Safety: best practices to maintain high industry standards.
Skin Theory: understanding skin types, conditions, and how they interact with pigments.
Colour Theory: pigment selection based on different skin tones and undertones.
Machine Knowledge: Proper use of PMU machines, cartridge selection, and techniques.
Technique Development: Hand placement, pressure control, pigment layering, and shading techniques.
Brow Shaping: Designing and mapping brows to complement each client’s face.
Client Consultation & Aftercare: Conducting professional consultations and providing proper aftercare instructions.
Business Development: How to take high-quality before-and-after photos for marketing and portfolio-building.
Course Content & Methodology:
1. Theoretical Foundations
- Hygiene and safety protocols.
- Understanding skin anatomy and how it affects pigment retention.
- Colour theory and pigment selection for different skin tones.
- Operating and maintaining PMU machines, including cartridge selection
- Conducting thorough client consultations and providing detailed aftercare instructions.
2. Technical Skills
- Hands-on training with live models (students will complete three models under supervision).
- Powderbrow techniques, including whip shading, zigzag technique, and pointillism.
- Pigment layering to correctly layer pigment without oversaturing or overworking the skin.
- Brow mapping and shaping for different facial structures.
- Photography techniques to capture professional before-and-after images.
3. Learning Approach
- Live Demonstrations: Trainer will perform a full treatment demonstration.
- Interactive Learning: Q&A sessions and problem-solving exercises.
- One-on-One Support: Personalized guidance during and after training.
- Follow-Up Training: An extra training day one month after the initial course, focusing on top-up procedures.
- Comprehensive Course Materials: Students will receive a beginner’s training manual.
