Who is This Course For?
This course is suitable for anyone in the hair industry who is looking to provide services for cancer patients and survivors. It is also suitable for stylists looking for more knowledge on cancer and it’s treatments.
Course Content
This course covers the study of Oncology Aesthetics for Hairdressers and best practice in the salon space. Learners will be able to amend their services to suit their client going through cancer and after. If a service is not appropriate, they will be able to determine when it is possible. This course provides all theory and practical training for professionals learning about oncology aesthetics. On successful completion the student will be certified in Oncology Aesthetics with OTI International.

- What is cancer?
- Cancer treatments
- The side effects of cancer therapies on the skin
- Skin cancer
- Psychosocial
- Creating a spa setting that is appropriate and welcoming
- How to create a hair, scalp and wig clinic for clients with alopecia and drug-induced alopecia
- Fitting wigs, toppers, hair pieces and extensions
- How to communicate with the client’s medical team if needed
- How to have a better understanding of the client’s needs and concerns, including how to deal with emotional subjects.
