Learner profile
Suitable for beginners and for qualified therapists wishing to add reflexology to their existing skillset.
Course Overview
Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive holistic therapy that helps to rebalance the body by applying pressure to specific reflex points on the feet and hands, which correspond to different body systems.
The feet and hands are regarded as a map or mirror of the body. Throughout this course, students are taken through the history, theories and philosophy of reflexology and learn how to work safely and effectively with reflex zones and reflex areas. Emphasis is placed on treating the whole person – mind, body and spirit – to support relaxation and the body’s own natural healing processes.
Reflexology is widely used to support relaxation and wellbeing and is suitable for people of all ages. It is commonly used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine and is offered in a range of settings including hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and cancer care units.
Your reflexology qualification can also act as a pathway into specialised areas such as baby reflexology, maternity reflexology, fertility reflexology and reflexology for cancer care, following further post-qualification training.
