The Hygiene Promise Audit Award is granted to hair and beauty salons in Ireland who have successfully completed training in Hygiene and The Return to Work Safely Protocol, (delivered by Glantar on behalf of Image Skillnet and HABIC Ireland), AND have had a review of their salon and compliance successfully completed by Audit by Glantar.

About the Trainer
Carmel Connaire is an experienced Hygiene Standards Trainer, Consultant and Auditor. She started her career in management in the Hotel & Catering Industry in Ireland and the Cayman Islands. Over a 15 year period she has owned and operated 2 busy food outlets, both as an independent outlet and also as a franchisee, while also continuing to train with various organisations in hospitality skills. Resulting from her experience as a business owner in the SME sector, and navigating her way through Food Hygiene and Standards Compliance, she continued her CPD through the National Hygiene Partnership and QQI Standards Auditing. She is a licensed trainer with the Environmental Health Officers Association and delivers certified EHAI training and QQI training. She is a member of the FSPA and delivers sector specific training on best practice and implementing regulatory requirements for environmental hygiene, prerequisites and HAACP. She works with suppliers to fufill requirements for 3rd party audits from multiples and internationally recognized Quality assurance programmes such as BRC certification. More recently she has been engaged by many Local Enterprise Offices across the country and private operators to assist the Hair and Beauty Sector in preparing for reopening their salons.
