Course Content
The Redundancy Payments Acts provides for the layoff of employees where an employer is unable to provide work for which the employee was employed to do, and the employer believes that the cessation will not be permanent and provides the employee with notice. Most hairdressers and beauticians will have engaged in this process at this point based on government advice on closures and social distancing. If a layoff situation exists and has continued for 4 weeks or more, or for 6 weeks in the last 13 weeks, your employee may give you notice in writing of their intention to claim redundancy under the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967-2014.  This webinar will discuss the relevant legislation, how to give a counter notice, how to check a redundancy payment entitlement and how to process a redundancy correctly should the need arise.

In advance of the webinar, you can email any questions you may want addressed to; communications@imageskillnet.ie
There will also be a chatbox on the webinar which will allow you to communicate.
