We require a refundable deposit of €300. This is on the basis that you meet the eligibility criteria. (All learners must fully commit and engage with the programme). This deposit is a standard procedure and serves as a commitment from your side to participate in the course. Rest assured that the deposit will be fully refunded upon completion of the course. We will promptly refund the full deposit amount back to the original payment method you used during registration. Course Content
This course will include:
Module 1 – Makeup – Day, night and bridal looks.
Underpinning knowledge of makeup ingredients, types, textures and those most applicable for skin types. Contraindications to treatments.
Module 2 – Manicure and Pedicure treatments.
Underpinning knowledge, contraindications, ingredients in products and their functions. Full practical treatments.
Module 3 – Skincare and eye treatments.
Underpinning knowledge of the treatments. Anatomy and physiology of the skin, cells and tissues. Tinting treatments and contraindications. Skin analysis and cleansing techniques. Knowledge of cleansers, types and ingredients within. Facial massage and underpinning knowledge of muscles and movements performed.
Module 4 – Waxing.
Underpinning knowledge of hot and cool waxing. Contraindications to treatment. Consultation techniques. Knowledge of causes of hair growth and the endocrine system. Structure of the hair.
Module 6 – Professionalism and ethics.
Understanding and exploring the code of ethics within the industry. Professional practice. Learning the key aspects about how to run a business.
Module 7 – Threading.
Learning the art of threading; a necessity for all Beauty Therapists. Threading can remove even the finest hairs to give rise to precise shaping.
Module 8 – Precision brow shaping.
Learning how to precisely shape brows using 7 steps to give that highly defined shape; now a buzzing trend in the industry. This is a must for any therapist hoping to make it in the industry of brow shaping.
Module 9 – Spray tanning.
An absolute necessity for all therapists entering the industry. A simple, quick and profitable treatment for all salons.

Learners will also need to complete 5 days’ work experience in a salon.

Course Modules
This course is split into 2 sessions per week – 1 theory session through Zoom and 1 practical session.
Modules 1-4 will be delivered during these sessions as these are the practical modules which are on the ITEC syllabus.
Modules 6-9 are delivered on the online portal.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to do facials, skin analysis, facial massage, facial peels and scrubs, eye lash and eyebrow tinting, facial threading (lip, chin and eyebrows), precision brow shaping, spray tans, manicures, pedicures, nail paint, makeup, hot wax and cool waxing on legs, underarm, bikini line and face.

Project Work & Exams
Case studies and evidence of treatments are required for all modules.
