Image Learning & Development Training Network Ltd and Image Skillnet are proud to be part of the consortium that will work towards the development of the recently approved Professional Hairdressing Apprenticeship. Over the last 12 months we have worked towards securing approval from the Apprenticeship Council and the Department of Education and Skills. On the 8th of December 2017, Minister Bruton formally announced 26 new apprenticeship which will be developed in due course.

Working alongside various stakeholders including industry bodies and professionals, we will help develop the curriculum that will help shape the future of the hairdressing industry in the Republic of Ireland. The apprenticeship in Professional Hairdressing will be industry led and designed to meet the needs of both the learner and the industry.

This is the first time that Ireland will have a national apprenticeship that will be mapped to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). We are honoured and extremely proud to be a part of this national consortium entrusted by the Department of Education and Skills to develop an Industry Led, fit for purpose, quality program.
